Langhe and Roero, two souls of just one reality which is today the destination of thousands of tourists attracted not only by great wines but also by strong cultural suggestions.
 
Langhe, a piece of Piedmont between Monferrato and Liguria, a succession of smooth hills that give the king of wines: the Barolo.On the top of these hills there are beautiful villages that gave birth to: Cesare Pavese and Beppe Fenoglio.
 
The Roero, in front of Langhe, on the left bank of Tanaro between Bra and Govone, where the rocks are the background to the paths travelled to search the rugged and picturesque atmosphere that just this part of Piedmont can give.

Canale

Canale lies in the valley of Borbore, it has always been an importat crossroads of trade. Canale and Bra are the capitals of Roero because of their vitality, in particular in wine and fruit.
 
Cultivation of peach, known in Europe, dating back in 1885 and the success in this field have made it a point of reference.
 
The wine growing sees the white Roero Arneis and the red Roero get the Docg and become two of the most titled great wines of Piedmont.
 
The medieval castle, still visible near The central Via Roma, dating to the second half of 1300 and it was built by family Roero from Asti. Later, during the XVI and XVII century the control passed to earls Malabalia that sill have the property.
 
It 'still visible today the bell tower near the church of Saint Giovanni which was part of the ancient defensive stuctures of the village.
The main baroque building is the church of Saint Vittore built in 1725 on desing of Carlo Antonio Castelli. Also interesting is the church of Saint Bernardino built in 1727, belonged to the confraternity of Battuti Bianchi.
 
A walk under the arcades of Via Roma, today as well as many time ago the center of commerce and town socializing, is the best way to discover the local production, from wine to cheese, from meat to desserts.
